about

Betrayal. We were best friends and we just couldn't stop hurting each other. Stupid.

lyrics

bound and it isn't too alarming
she blocks the room ever so charming
see the mask in the corner he paints his face
while the tin man agrees the review and erase
this ain't the way things work when working out harm

keys are heard jinglin' down the hall
while the mask lip-syncs a sympathy call
she walks through the door past the man of tin
the mask or me and she picks him
this ain't the way things work when working out harm

out of spite I clean my clothes
can't conceal my anger and I'm glad it shows
clean my room
clean my guitar
clean my room
clean my guitar
this ain't the way things work when working out harm

see a flash in the corner and I turn around to see
the mask in the corner and the mask on me
dried tears through make-up that came and went
twelve years between coins that has just been spent
this ain't the way things work when working out harm

always seems to work out that way since the day I said...
yeah, alright, I guess
each in our own right were obviously wrong
and to this I painfully confess
and every hour now awaits the alarm
amidst all the hopes we now detest
this ain't the way things work when working out harm

we simply acted out of judgement
and for this the hope can rest
this ain't the way things work

about

Michael Var Fickle Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Thought to be in the grave for many years, Michael Var Fickle returns with "The Clavicle Gate". The story of his death revolved around a light from the night sky, a carnival and a box of 44 fish-sticks. Actually.......that isn't true, but it sure sounds a lot better than the story I heard. Hopefully he makes another album before he really does meet the grave. ... more
